‘Entourage’ director Ricky Burchell delighted with the response from the audience.

Director Ricky Bruchell's most recent project ‘Entourage’ has been the talk of the music world for its up-beat music and video. The music video even crossed 1 million views within 24 hours of releasing. Here’s a fun interaction we had with the director himself about the music video, his experience of working with Omar Gooding, Leslee Lewis & Kyyba Films, his upcoming project and so on:

1) Your latest music video ‘Entourage’ crossed more than 1 million views in less than 24 hours. Tell us the reactions you have been receiving?

-I was very shocked that it reached 1million views so quickly considering the song has been out for months. I figured people love to see the music which is always a good thing

2) Tell us about your experience of working with rapper Omar Gooding

Omar is always a pleasure to work with. He is very talented & I always look forward to doing projects with him.

3) From your personal point of view, what aspect has made ‘Entourage’ reach such great heights?

I think people like Entourage because it is different.. I don't think a song like this ever existed before this. It's like a rap/pop/urban/ bollywood/Hollywood vibe.

4) You have collaborated with Kyyba Films and Tel K Ganesan for many projects, tell us about your experience of working with them?

Tel and Kyyba Films has been a huge blessing to me. I feel blessed that Tel believed in me and my vision . I'm forever grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with him.

5) You have recently released one more film titled ‘AM Radio’ with singer/rapper Omar Gooding. Tell us about your collaboration with him.

AM Radio was a passion project for me. We had very little money. Close to no money & made this movie. I made the film to showcase the actors' talent. I think Omar did an amazing Job as DJ taz. I think some of his best work to date (acting wise) I hope the world gets to see how talented and how much of a range he has.

6) 1st Sunday of every month you carry out social service with a group of volunteers, tells us about the inspiration behind it? When did you decide to start this and why?

I always believe in giving back. I wrote a scene in a movie where a character helps the homeless. So we shot a scene at a real homeless shelter. The day of filming I had the cast and crew volunteers to help the homeless right after filming. After that I decided to keep it up. That’s been going on for over 3 years now.

7) In the month of February this year you had written a book on film making title Independent Film Making the ultimate guide for aspiring filmmakers and directors. According to you, what qualities does a good director need?

A good director needs to know the story he wants to tell inside and out. Staying true to the story is so important. Once you have the story you just need things to dress it up and make it interesting. For example, the character is talking on the phone. What else can he do while talking on the phone? He could be chopping up vegetables, cutting his toe nails. Eating potato chips. Stay true to the story & keep it interesting

8) Can you shed some light on your next upcoming project?

I'm doing the final touches on a coming of age movie called One More Dream. Very excited about that. & I'm also negotiating to do a sequel to Trap City.
